The first destination on the tour is the Karen Blixen Museum. Visitors can look around Blixen’s home and learn about the iconic Dutch author who was responsible for novels such as Out of Africa, Seven Gothic Tales and Anecdotes of Destiny. The highly successful film adaptation of her book, Out of Africa, was also filmed at this location. The beautiful house and the colourful gardens are surrounded by the Ngong Hills.

Lunch will be provided at Tamambo, the coffee house located on the grounds of the museum.

The next stop on the tour is the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. This organisation is a charity dedicated to the conservation of elephants and rhinos. Visitors will get the opportunity to watch the elephants feeding, playing and bathing. The keepers also give interesting talks about the progression of the orphans that have since been released into the wild. If you are lucky, you will also get to see a rare rhino orphan, before it is released back into the wild.
