HALF DAY MOMBASA CITY TOUR
Visitors to Mombasa could spend weeks exploring the Old Town and spice markets but if you’re a little short of time, then the ½ Day Mombasa City Tour is perfect for experiencing just a flavour of the wonderful city. Guests begin their day at 8.30am where they are collected and taken to the Akamba Wood Carving Factory, home to two thousand wood carvers. This is the perfect place to take pictures and buy a souvenir to remember your time in Mombasa.
After you’ve seen everything the Carving Factory has to offer, guests are taken to the nearby Shree Cutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple. Built in 1945, this holy building was the first Swaminarayan Temple to built outside of the Indian subcontinent.
The tour also gives guests the chance to visit the Likoni ferry, Mama Ngina Drive, Fort Jesus and the Presidential Palace. Walk the Old Town, Old Port and Spice Market before heading back to the hotel at 1.30pm. There’s an awful lot to fit into half a day but it’s certainly worth it!
